
History: Comprehensive Child Development, Inc. (CCD) was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 1983 and has provided quality child care, education and support services for hundreds of low income families and their children. CCD currently provides care and education for over 525 children whose families are working or attending vocational training. The agency is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors who meet monthly.
Mission: To provide high quality early childhood education and
nutrition programs, encouraging successful children and self-sufficient
families.
Vision: It is the vision of Comprehensive Child Development, Inc. that every child and family will have the tools they need to lead successful lives now and in the future; that every child and family will have a safe, nurturing educational environment in which children can grow and learn and parents can participate in the educational and community processes that affect the lives of their children.
Goals:
1. Provide affordable early childhood education and care for children, enabling families to work and/or participate in vocational training.
2. Educate and support families in their efforts toward greater self-sufficiency.
3. Promote and support high quality nutrition programs for young children and their care providers.
4. Work with parents to provide the best possible care for their children as well as maintaining a nurturing home environment.
5. Increase and support the parents' role as advocate for their children in relation to school and community.
6. Advocate with community, corporations and public agencies to increase the overall quality of child care.
